Feral cat outdoor shelter
Warm, Secure
Haven for Outdoor & Feral Cats
Designed with the unique needs of outdoor cats in mind, this wooden outdoor cat house includes an exclusive foldable ladder that makes entry and exit easy—even for thin, elderly, or injured cats. When folded up, the ladder functions as a secure door, helping prevent unwanted animals from entering and keeping your pets protected from harsh weather conditions. A clear acrylic side window enhances both ventilation and visibility, allowing curious cats to observe the outside world while giving owners peace of mind as they check in without disturbance.
Premium Construction and Insulated Comfort
Built for All-Weather Protection
Every detail of this outdoor wooden cat house is tailored to support the well-being of feral cats. A leak-proof asphalt roof with a sloped design ensures that rainwater slides off efficiently, preventing moisture buildup. The elevated 8-inch base keeps the structure safely above snow and ground-level dampness, while a hydraulic cylinder allows the roof to open smoothly for easy cleaning or access without risking injury to hands or paws. Inside, a removable divider creates separate spaces for resting and feeding, making this shelter ideal for multiple cats or colony care.
Spacious, Functional, and Reliable
With overall dimensions of 34.7”W x 21.6”D x 27.1”H, this wood outdoor cat house comfortably accommodates several outdoor or feral cats. The 9.1" x 7.1" entry door is perfectly sized for feline access, and at 35 pounds, the structure offers a sturdy, reliable presence in your yard, porch, or garden. Its contemporary wooden design blends beautifully with outdoor spaces while offering durable, long-term performance.

Great product that is well made and easy to assemble
Love how this looks all put together. I assembled by myself without any major issues. Some parts of the instructions were very hard to understand at first (arms to hold roof open) and I had to redo it twice, but it truly was ok!Upon arrival, the box it came it made me immediately smile. Had a cute waving cat on the shipping box. 😺It sounded like it had said in it when I moved it inside, and once I was able to get the very well-packaged box open, it was asphalt from the roof, not sand...and it went EVERYWHERE. It was a big mess. Addit, one of my panels was punctured I think from either shipping or packing, but it wasn't a big issue since it did not go through. The plastic flaps arrived extremely bent in every direction except flat, but I was tucking the middle one up anyhow. My cat will not push his chunky face through those flaps if his life depended on it.He was very interested in it while assembling in the house, but I have yet to see him actually go in it outside. **However there was some dirt on the self warming mat, so he or something else IS using it.One star off for the mess, the damaged panel an wonky plastic door flaps. Otherwise, I truly would get this again. It looks like a piece of furniture on my porch!I will be clear coating this in the spring. I feel that it could potentially not be very water resistant long term. I coveted mine with a tarp this winter, in a covered porch, just to be safe.
I bought this for a stray cat who seems to have been living under an abandoned house nearby, so he’d have a warm, safe shelter. I assembled it myself and almost immediately was able to coax him inside—he seems to love it! A few notes on my experience so far:Setup was fairly straightforward, although it was tricky to get all 4 walls to screw in snugly without gaps. Definitely follow the rule of thumb to not tighten screws all the way until everything is in place and lined up correctly; it likely will still take some trial & error to get everything tight. Also, the screws provided are quite long; this presumably makes it sturdier, although I found it hard to get them all the way in. On a positive note, they were good quality and did not strip when I was struggling to tighten them.NOTE: A screwdriver is included that can be converted to Philips head (which you’ll need), but arrives as flat head—I did not see that it was adjustable until the end of the assembly manual, when it was too late, so used my own. I followed others’ suggestions and removed the side window to provide a secondary exit, which was easy but required an extra small Philips screwdriver. There are visible gaps at the short ends of the floor, even with all 4 walls tightly screwed together. There is also no insulation on the floor. Since it’s summer now, I have time to fix this, but it would not be suitable for winter as-is.I tried it out with the center divider in place at first, but my skittish stray kitty, who is only about 7 lbs, seemed a little intimidated so I removed it once he was outside. He went back in and seemed to like it much more without the divider.Overall, it seems like an excellent starting point for a cozy shelter, with additional insulation needed DEFINITELY in the floor and most likely around the sides, for cold winter climates. And the side window definitely should be converted into an escape door, which will need some vinyl (?) flaps like the entrance to keep wind out. Use straw (not hay or blankets) to keep your animals warm and dry. Overall very nice looking, sturdy, and kitty loves it.
We purchased two shelters. Both arrived in a timely manner and appeared well packaged.Positives*Excellent ratcheting screwdriver included with the parts.****One unit went together beautifully with tight seems and no fuss. It will provide a warm wind proof shelter! 🤩However! The second was a disaster. 🤨Cons:*Despite looking ok when the box was first opened, as we put the second unit together we found multiple damaged parts.***I should have sent it back as soon as I noticed the damage to the walls! As we progressed through assembling the second unit we found:*Damage to both front and back walls- on the interior sides.*A partially cracked door awning support*During assembly the walls were very hard to align. Finally we discovered the walls and floor were not compatible lengths and, despite tight connections between the walls, the floor did not fit correctly leaving large gaps for cold air to whistle through.*One attachment point for a roof lift support was damaged too much for use.Since we have assembled the shelter we are not going to the effort to return it.Workarounds to make this unit usable in poor weather:*We have left the damaged walls as air is not coming through them. I’ll use some flex seal when the weather warms up and fumes won’t bother the cats.*The door awning support is holding. If it breaks, wood glue will fix it.*The side seams are tight and foam caulk from the bottom can seal the floor gaps.*The roof is staying up with one lift and removing the bent connector allows the roof to close.*The roof is slightly out of alignment as I screwed in the hinges before I noticed the bent connector warping the roof alignment. However some felt weather stripping should prevent serious drafts.***Will I recommend to others?I’m unsure. They look nice in the yard and the ramp allows young kittens to get back into the shelter.IF it goes together like the first unit, the savings in time and effort makes it better than DIY.IF you get a good unit it goes together quickly and easily and provides a wind proof shelter with some insulation. So I guess. Yes. I recommend with the caveat to inspect well, including checking proportions before assembly.
