Have had it for a while now. I like this scorpion chair. Some things I would do to improve it would be more padding. Other than that I use it every day all day. This is my favorite chair in the house I game about 12 hours a day from here.

Pros:* Solid construction* Modular design with access points* Easily customizable* Great customer service. Cons:* Heavy* Multiple video options and extra hardware can be confusing* No platform/mounting for a desktop tower* Initial seat had a spring stab out in ~9 months (replacement received with necessary hardware)Prior to even shipping out the chair, the customer service team made sure to follow up on exactly which seat type I wanted and confirming my address. This does take some time to get in, as it is a large item and is shipping from China. The estimates that they provided were spot on, from what I recall.This chair comes in a large crate with two major components, the base and the scorpion tail (monitor holder). The base is the largest/heaviest piece and I don't recommend moving it up multiple sets of stairs or tight corridors. (Please note that these major items are bolted down to the pallet for stability in shipping. It takes a little time to get everything else out of the box to access these bolts.)The scorpion tail requires two people to be able to hold it in place while attaching the bolts. It has access points all along the top, which allows easy access to route new cables to the monitor mounts. There is also a power strip at the monitor end of the tail to provide power to each monitor.The videos show exactly how to assemble it, as long as you choose the right one for your chair.The base does have a couple of rollers on it, which have allowed me to move the fully assembled chair on a hardwood floor without seeing damage. A thick rug might be challenging to roll it around, though. In addition to this being an exciting chair that is well designed, I find the most exciting part of owning this is how easy it is to customize to fit my needs. I have a 3D printer and have been able to utilize the bolting points and extra hardware to attach a high output light therapy light, fan, and laptop holders to the scorpion tail. I've also added a cat platform using some wood and the larger bolts/threads that were used purely for shipping, which sets behind the seat.(I did have an issue, as noted in Cons, where a spring stabbed through the leather in the seat cushion after about 9 months. I contacted Customer Service and provided screenshots and details. After confirming it was the bottom cushion and the type of seat I had, a new one was shipped out. It came with all possible bolts, as there are a couple different builds of this chair, but was easy to reference the initial videos to disassemble and replace the seat cushion. Again, a very modular design and easy to work on.)

I’ve waited a bit to write a review about this so I could give an honest review. First off I paid in full for this and it was in no way sponsored by the company. I am not being paid for this review either.As a gamer that has used many types of desks from the basic desk on Amazon to the secret labs magnus pro xl… I have come to enjoy this desk/chair for what it is while also having to get used to a changed style of play.Number one is the customer service! It’s the best customer service you can get. From start to finish they contact me and verified all the details and asked if I wanted a few upgrades. They were communicative and let me know every step of the way. I needed one replacement part shipped out and it was shipped with no issues. It arrived very will packed and was safe from any damage.Unpacking this is a challenge. It required 3 people to lift it from the garage to the room just inside the house from the garage which is where it remained. It’s 600lbs so be sure you have help to get this in.Unboxing it was a bit of a challenge because I had to get all the wood off and find a good way to get it down. This is not a fault of the product but just the logistics of shipping something this large.Once inside the setup was easy though I had to read and look at the setup video a bit to make sure it was all done right. Just watch the video and you’ll get it. It’s not difficult but you will need to watch the setup video.Gaming in this desk chair is a whole other level of immersion. It’s like my world is the simulation and with the Samsung g9 57 inch it makes you move your head from side to side. I did have to readjust the monitor to sit further from my face than I initially had it as it was too close and cause some discomfort almost like wearing a VR headset. Once I adjusted the monitor back a bit that went away. It’s so fun to fly into the black in Elite as it feels like my world is the ship. FPS games also are fun to play on this as it’s right there.Working from this I forget I’m working. I love the comfort and the reclining function.What you do lose though is being able to have an area to write things down or if you keep a cluttered desk you won’t be able to do that with this…It has some areas that I think could be improved but the product is outstanding and I’m very happy with it. That being said do your research before buying something like this. It’s an investment for sure and not easily undone. You cannot simply drop this off at a khols for an Amazon return.Overall I really like the immersion this chair has brought to my experience but I also don’t think it’s for everyone. It has a niche function and is not easy to move it around. I don’t think it’d be ideal for people that move a lot or are in apartments with no elevators. It also different enough that I don’t think everyone would enjoy it. It does immersion well and that is what I got it for. It multi functions as a work desk as well but it’s really designed for next level immersive gaming.I hope this review helps you decide if this is right for you. I’m very happy with this and my wife recently decided she loves it as well and now I don’t get to use it as much because she’s taken over lol. So for all you with partners that have lingering questions…. It has a massage function as an available upgrade…Time to head into the black!
