Elevated Haven
An Engaging Two-Level Space for Play and Relaxation
Unlike basic shelters that only offer a sleeping box, this feral cat house outdoor design creates an enriched environment where cats can climb, stretch, and observe their surroundings. The independent balcony and sturdy stairs give cats a place to sunbathe, relax, or stay alert to their environment. A side window enhances visibility, allowing cats to safely watch outdoors while still feeling protected. The PVC door flap blocks wind and rain during colder months and can be removed in warmer weather for improved airflow and comfort.
Quiet, Private
Resting Area for Stress-Free Sleep
Cats need a calm, enclosed space to feel secure, especially feral or outdoor cats that are constantly exposed to noise and movement. The raised private resting room provides a quiet refuge where cats can nap, recover, and feel safe from disturbances. This outdoor cat insulated house enclosed design helps reduce stress while offering a sense of stability and protection from other animals.

I really love this little house for my newly adopted cat! It's cute and compact, but pretty sturdy too. It will be a tad small if you have a larger cat or multiple cats, but for kittens or small to medium/average sized cats it should be fine. Comes flat packed, but is easy to assemble, everything seemed to fit together well, prob took me about 45mins start to finish. I'm pleased with this item, but gave it 4 stars rather than 5 as it's a little smaller than I was expecting (I did measure but until it's in front of you and all put together it's sometimes hard to envisage!) Plus it was a little pricey and I still need to see how it performs in worse weather than we had today! But overall very happy...
Bought this to replace similar brown lodge that was collapsing due to rain damage over time. This house appears sturdier than the one it replaced and the grey is much more eye catching than the basic brown version. The lower part of this lodge is actually used by my cats as it has two entrances (an improvement on the old house), one entrance with the small canopy which I have left open without the plastic piece and a cat flap which allows light in so cats are far more willing to investigate - they never used this part on the brown version. Think the plastic entrance piece is not a good idea for cats, it is too thick and cats can't see through it. Would recommend this cat house, decent size for adult cats.
We were able to build it ok, but were not impressed by the quality of the painting. We coated the whole thing with yacht varnish. Had no worries about the cat using it too soon, as he always takes a couple of months to decide whether he likes something or not. It was three months before he decided it was ok to try. I put a fleece on the upper shelf, one of those you buy for hanging off a radiator, because it has a metal frame that sits inside it and prevents either the cat or the weather from taking it out. He now loves sitting in there.
It looks great; one of our guys is lounging up top, under the roof as I type this. Our first outdoor house...well, the roof collapsed after nearly three years. But that wasn't *just* the weather. The neighbourhood kitties, and our one guy, use it as a launch and landing pad when leaving the garden over the seven foot back wall. Plus, he also used the posts as scratchers. We're hoping the sisal ramp will deter that, as the first house had stairs instead. Our other guy uses the ramp to scratch, so maybe he will catch on. If we catch him marring the lovely new posts, I'm going to tightly wrap/glue gun thick sisal around them. Our two are rescues that are terrified of strangers/people. So it gives them safety, as well as comfort. They immediately run out back and hide if someone comes in the front door. So we're happy to have it for them, especially when it's not nice weather outside.
Well this was definitely bought on a whim, encouraged by my partner who loves building thing.Firstly, I can't get over how adorable it is. Our next step is to get some little LED pet safe lights to go around the balcony because aww. Also, the detail is really nice. It's very well thought out and just looks so cute. After a little coaxing, and time, the cats are quite fond of the thing, which is a relief. For the first few weeks the only action it had was a neighbours cat, who took to sleeping on the balcony. Fortunately, and possibly out of FOMO, my two monsters decided to try it out and now enjoy it.So, it can with stand a bit of rain, but it was a very matte finish so we ended up using some clear varnish on it so that it can stand up to good old English summer time. As it mentions, rain can get in to the inside bit, but we made a mini waterproof mat to put down, with fabric plate mats on top (this was a full project here, thank you lockdown). On the same note, in B&Q there is a small square bbq cover which fits absolutely perfectly! It ties around the bottom and covers it all, so it'll be perfect for winter. As you can probably tell, I want this house to last a long time as it's utterly brilliant and I'm in love with it.My only gripes would be:The smell is awful when it first arrives. I'm pretty sure this was the main reason the cats didn't like it, and I really can't blame them. It would also but good if the inside was fully water proof as I've put pet bedding in there, which I'll wash, but I'd rather it didn't sit there getting soggy when it does rain. I dont really know how they would go about this to be honest, so maybe it isn't possible, but if it were, it would be nice. The roof is adorable and I love it, but I'm not sure about it being in direct sunlight, would probably prefer a wooden roof, but I guess you'd just have cats sliding off then. Finally, building it didn't take that long, although I wouldn't do it alone. It's also bigger than you expect inside. It arrived quickly and I have zero complaints. All in all, the entire household is a fan.
